An Unplanned Path

Sometimes the best things in life appear in the most unplanned ways, a "Why Not" turns into an opportunity that you never saw coming.

Not all businesses start with a business plan or even a clear intention to start a business at all. Sometimes, they start as a one-time opportunity that becomes something much bigger.
It was meant to be a single event—one weekend camp to bring skaters together, share knowledge, and create a fun, inspiring experience with some truly amazing athletes. There was no long-term vision, no plan past that weekend. Just this once. But somewhere between the energy on the ice, the excitement from the skaters, and the realization that something special was happening, that one-time opportunity quietly turned into something more.
Before I knew it, that camp led to another. Then another. Suddenly I was coordinating ice time, managing schedules, answering emails and realizing that this “one-time thing” now required actual systems and planning. That’s when it hit me—I was learning how to run a business in real time.
One of the best parts has been learning as I go. Figuring things out on the fly, making mistakes, asking experts for help, and growing with each camp. Every experience brings new lessons—in skating for the athletes and about leadership, adaptability, and trusting the process for me.
What started as a single weekend has grown into figure skating camps filled with amazing skaters, inspiring coaches, and moments that remind me why I said yes to that first Road to Gold.
Turns out, sometimes the things you don’t plan for end up becoming the most meaningful—and the most rewarding—journeys of all. ⛸️✨
There are so many of us who are extremely happy that this happened. I love everything about this camp experience. It has changed my life
